Raven Lard Preference
A light hearted experiment presenting ravens with two kinds of lard: a brand name Tenderflake and a no name brand Compliments. The lard was presented on plates with the identity on the bottom. The photographer did not know which was which until the end of the test. Fortunately a family of ravens came by. They were all very nervous about the lard at first. The juvenile ravens can be identified by their pink mouths. Eventually they displayed a general but not total preference for the Tenderflake or brand name lard. Both lards display identical nutritional characteristics and were coloured identically. There is nothing definite about the test but it seems that the ravens did prefer the more expensive lard. Presented in 1024 pixel format. Some shots have shallow focus for some elements.
