  • Indian Affairs. Eleven member staff of the James Bay Indian Agency located on Moose Factory Island. Twenty-two hundred Indian people are resident at these five locations. Plans for 1968 involve building 23 new homes at various location constructing one mile of new road, continuing a project to put water and sewer lines to the Factory Island Reserve, and continuing a project to electrify the Indian Reserve at Fort Albany.... There are 125 pupils in Federal schools, 200 in church schools and integrated provincial schools. There are 100 students in high schools. "I would like to emphasize again that all our activities aim to have as much participation as possible by Indians"
  • Misawaynikan Association. 150 memberes, operates a hall. Lowere level coffee house supervised by Mr. Peter Tate.
  • Moose Factory General Hospital. Highest number of patients at one time was 325. Maintenance at the hospital by Cameron construction; catering by VersaFoods.
